Essence Preserved

ART-WAA-0040

The close-up face is divided into layers by blue, green and purple streams of paint, yet the two vivid eyes look forward with undiminished attention. The descending lines create the sense that the outward form is continually transforming. The portrait expresses that the changes in our lives leave new colours and traces upon us, while our innermost essence remains recognisable.
