ARTWORK

The World upon My Face

ART-WAA-0068

Layers of crimson, turquoise, orange and gold flow through the three-quarter portrait, as though an entire inner landscape were taking shape upon the face. Despite the rich surroundings, the dark eyes preserve a calm and contemplative presence. The work expresses that our experiences do not merely surround us; over time, they become part of us and give us an identity unlike any other.
